Prolific designer, Philippe Starck has been at it for decades. He doesn't solely design furniture, he designs everything from motorcycles to interiors to the Virgin Galactic Spaceport. His furniture designs are iconic; many of his designs have been featured on television shows.
One of his most popular pieces is the Master's Chair. It echoes three iconic mid-century chair designs – the “Series 7” by Arne Jacobson, the “Tulip Armchair” by Eero Saarinen and the “Eiffel Chair” by Charles Eames. He re-interprets the three revolutionary chairs by making a hybrid out of them: combining them into a new masterpiece.
